As Evolve’s founder and CEO, Tyler ensures that the company is pushing itself and advancing the industry standard. Tyler is a keen listener with an appetite for learning that never quits. He’s consistently seeking out new ideas and fresh approaches to problem-solving. He brings this passion into the Evolve culture, sharing knowledge and encouraging the growth of ideas amongst his team. Over his career, Tyler has played all the positions in the video and live events industry. He’s dabbled in editing, production, and management, but his true passion lies in the live events side of the entertainment industry. When he’s not in the shop or on the road, Tyler enjoys snowboarding, playing guitar, and traveling with his son and wife to cities with a rich culinary culture.
Executive Vice President
Trew Rickers, our Executive Vice President brings 27+ years of experience in this industry to the team. His dedication to customer service, pragmatic approach to business and extensive wealth of knowledge makes him an invaluable asset to Evolve. Trew started out as a stagehand at a local arena in Iowa City, where he attended college. After graduating he moved to Atlanta and in 1991 took an entry level position in the audio-visual industry. From there he worked his way up to top executive positions. In his off time, Trew enjoys spending time with his family and friends, restoring vintage audio equipment, drinking craft beer, and collecting music memorabilia.
Vice President of Operations
Robert tackles projects and assignments at Evolve like a champion defensive lineman. He’s the go-getter we can always rely on, keeping our team on track and at the top of their game. He’s in charge of managing everything logistical here at Evolve, including employee management, scheduling, equipment rental/delivery, vendor relationships, and much more. He ensures that we’ve got everything in its place so that we can deliver a quality product day in and day out. Born in California and raised in Minnesota, Robert’s career spans nearly three decades in the staging industry. Over the years, he’s worked for major companies like Blumberg Communications, AVHQ/PSAV and Strong Communications. For more than 21 years, he’s lived and worked in Orlando, Florida. When Robert’s not in the office or on-site at client events, he’s perfecting his putt and mastering his drive on the golf course—usually on the greens and fairways of Grande Pines in Orlando.
Director of Technology
For over twenty-five years, Tim Kuschel has been involved in the Live Events industry. After earning his Bachelor of Arts in Media from the University of California San Diego, Tim spent the next decade and a half working as a video engineer and projectionist for production companies in San Diego, Orlando, and Las Vegas. As the Sr. Sales Support Engineer at Barco, Tim developed and taught the image processing courses for the Encore, FSN and E2 platforms. He also provided technical support and field training for the Barco line of projectors. Most recently with Evolve Las Vegas, Tim has worked closely with Panasonic on the introduction of their laser phosphor line of projectors to the U.S. market.
Director of Rental Services
Grand Slam Yankee Fan. Javier has helped Evolve to become a major player in the U.S. market by leveraging more than seventeen years of technical and management experience in the event staging industry. Javier has worked alongside many major production companies throughout his career, including those in Dallas, Orlando, and Atlanta. As Director of Rental Services at Evolve, Javier handles the bulk of all equipment rentals as well as our Dallas team. He’s a client favorite, and never spares a detail and always lets his warm personality shine. Outside of his career at Evolve, Javier enjoys traveling with his family to places like Rome, New York, the Bahamas and Cabo, golfing, and fulfilling a longstanding family legacy of New York Yankee fandom.
Money Maker. Shoe Connoisseur. Dog Lover. Melodye is always ready to calculate, plan, and collect on a new project. It may sound weird to some, but Melodye loves accounting. She’s constantly learning more about the industry to ensure that we provide our clients with the best in quality and customer service. Before joining the Evolve team, Melodye spent 16 years as a Regional Controller for the state of Florida for The Landmarks Group, Faison, and Trammel Crow. She’s also worked for 5 years for Commercial Real Estate in Houston, TX. She loves to try new things. When she’s not in the office crunching numbers, Melodye is spending time with her grandchildren, spoiling her two dogs, shoe shopping, or soaking up the sun at one of our beautiful Florida beaches.
Rich is the man responsible for the look, feel, and message of Evolve’s branding and an all-around creative dynamo. Rich is a storyteller at heart, and he’s spent the last 10 years honing his artistic crafts in print, web, video, and photography in enterprise software marketing, advertising agencies, non-profits, and through his own entrepreneurial efforts. It’s hard to find a project where Rich can’t lend his creative abilities, which makes him an invaluable asset to the Evolve team. If he’s not at work, there’s a great chance you’ll find Rich with his wife and kids, working in his photo studio, taking day trips to shoot incredible natural landscapes, or cooking up his next big idea.
National Sales Manager
After a 15-year run as a highly respected and very well-known Regional Sales Manager for Analog Way, Benoit joined our team as National Sales Manager. Benoit is responsible for increasing awareness of our Trifecta service offering and is one of our biggest brand ambassadors and relationship builders from coast to coast. Benoit brings an arsenal of industry experience to Evolve. His past responsibilities at previous employers include managing key accounts for more than 39 European distributors, as well as holding critical roles of Executive Sales Manager, Staging Market Manager and Key Account Manager at Analog Way. Benoit was born and raised in Britany (Bretagne), France, where he studied international business. Upon completion of his degree, he headed to the states to attend Georgia Tech. He currently lives in New York with his wife and two sons. When Benoit’s not working, he spends his free time at sporting events like soccer, snowboarding, or boating with friends.
Adventurer. Innovator. Car Fanatic. Juan’s relationships with his clients aren’t like anybody else’s. Sometimes Juan seems to know his clients’ needs better than they do, and that’s exactly what makes him such a great account manager. Juan’s skills range is obvious from the first time you engage in a conversation with him, but what really stands out is his dedication. Customer satisfaction is his most important responsibility and he’s a reliable source and guide for all of their equipment needs. Prior to joining Evolve, Juan sharpened his customer service skills at Autonation and United Airlines as an aviation interior mechanic. A few years later, Juan found himself in the audio-visual industry, where he discovered a love for both the technical and customer service side of the business. When Juan isn’t managing projects at Evolve, he’s spending time with his wife and son, or taking his 1992 Camaro out for a spin.
Maira heads up our front of house operations at Evolve, handling everything from accounts receivable, catering and arranging events, to supply requisition. While her position may be a bit different from the other our other more tech-based employees, she truly appreciates the amount of teamwork that goes into all that we do and provide for our clients. Maira spent over a decade in the hotel industry, where her top priority was making sure guests were happy and operations ran efficiently; that same dedication to customer service is a quality she consistently brings to the table at Evolve. Originally from Rio de Janeiro, she moved to Orlando in 2004. While she may call Florida home, the world is her playground, and she’d like to see as much of it as she can. Outside of work, she enjoys spending quality time with her husband and handsome baby boy.
Senior Solutions Engineer
LED expert. Foodie. Keyboard and synthesizer enthusiast. George comes to Evolve with over 30 years of experience in the industry. From a very young age, he knew this industry was for him, making him not only the most experienced man for the job but by far the most passionate. George joined the team just as Evolve began investing heavily in LED and is a pivotal part of our growth in this sector. His expertise are unrivaled and indispensable as we provide service and education around LED technology. Did we mention that he makes killer French omelets?
Video engineering geek. Solutions specialist. Perfectionist. Kevin was a freelance video engineer when he came to Evolve Las Vegas to take the AnalogWay LiveCore Certification course, and ended up working for the company. He’s a Southern Calguy who grew up fascinated by audio-visual equipment and got his start in the industry as an entry-level video tech for Meeting Services Inc. in San Diego.Kevin earned his B.A. in Film and TV production from California Lutheran University in 2001, and his hard work and inherent thirst for the industry made for a quick rise, and now he’s got the skills and experience to handle the largest shows, and take on the training of new engineers.
Quality Control Manager
Family Man. Inspector Gadget. As lead Quality Control Manager, Eli ensures that all of our top-notch equipment stays in tip-top shape. He’s a stickler for perfection—testing, inspecting, and cleaning gear just about every single day in the warehouse. If there’s a problem, Eli will do whatever it takes to solve it. During his career, Eli has worked on some pretty impressive events, including the 2008 Presidential Campaign, Pink Floyd concerts, and other big-time bands that shall remain nameless (until you ask). When Eli’s not working on high-tech video equipment, he enjoys spending time with his beautiful wife and two adorable kids, kayaking on the Wekiva River and Mosquito Lagoon.
